Extension-style gasket cutters rotate around a center pin to cut precise circles. Place the gasket material on a suitable cutting surface, create a small center hole, and position the material over the center pin. Set the cutter to the desired outside diameter and rotate it around the pin to make the first cut. Then adjust it to the inside diameter and repeat the process to complete the gasket. Heavy-Duty cutters feature a durable brass cutter block and offer the widest cutting range, making them a good choice for frequent use and larger gaskets. Light-Duty cutters provide a more economical option for standard gasket-cutting applications, with capacities up to 37 inches. Compact cutters are designed for smaller gaskets up to 6 inches and are easy to carry and use in the field.
